Thanks to Martha Argerich, Tomás, a young argentine promise, fulfilled the dream of studying in Europe. From then on, the most important performances began culminated in him receiving the Honor Distinction from the hands of Queen Sofía of Spain, the Gian Andrea Lodovici Prize recording at the Fazioli Concert Hall and performing under the baton of András Schiff.
Tomás has just won 3rd prize at the Dinu Lipatti International Competition in Romania and he made his North American debut at the prestigious Salle Bourgie in Montreal.

Since his public debut at the age of twelve as a soloist of Mozart's Concerto K. 415, his performances are recognized and published by the press and the most important radio and television media of Argentina, Spain and Switzerland. In his recent reappearance at the Colón Theater with Mozart's Concerto K. 414, the wide repercussion and the praise from the press described: “Direct expressivity moulded with a goldsmith's subtle touch (...) he possesses an expressiveness that reveals the true essence of what he performs”.
Tomás was born in Buenos Aires in 1992. He began his musical studies at the age of eight and during his adolescence, at the recommendation of Martha Argerich, he received a scholarship from the Banca della Svizzera Italiana to perfect himself with Nelson Goerner at the Haute École de Musique de Genève, Switzerland, earning the Diploma of Piano Improvisation with Honors. Subsequently, he entered the Chair of the legendary professor Dmitri Bashkirov (Daniel Barenboim's father-in-law) at the Reina Sofía School of Music of Madrid, Spain, obtaining a Bachelor's degree and a Master's degree in Music Performance.
Among many awards, he has received the 3rd Prize at the Dinu Lipatti International Piano Competition, the Golden Medal at the VI and IV Manhattan International Music Competition, the Honourable Mention at the XXXIII International Ferrol Piano Competition, Second Prize at the Muse Competition (Greece) and he obtained, from the hands of Queen Sofía, four awards for the Most Outstanding Piano Student and the Most Outstanding Chamber Group at the Reina Sofía School. With the Aurora Piano Quartet he was laureate at the Orpheus Swiss Chamber Music Competition. In addition to being awarded in different competitions in his country such as First Prize at the XI Bienal Juvenil Shell Competition and First Prize at the Chopiniana Competition, he has received, at a very early age, the Distinguished Young Performer Award by the Association of Music Performers and the Stimulus Award by the Association of Music Critics.
During his ten-year period of training in Europe he participated in Master Classes given by international personalities such as Günter Pichler, first violin of the historic Alban Berg Quartett, Menahem Pressler, Claudio Martínez Mehner, Gábor Takács-Nagy, Joaquín Achúcarro, Eldar Nebolsin, Stanislav Ioudenitch, Elisabeth Leonskaja, Pierre-Laurent Aimard, Rena Shereshevskaya, Péter Nagy, Kálmán Dráfi, István Lantos, Edith Fischer, Ralf Gothóni, Tedi Papavrami, Jonathan Kelly and Hansjörg Schellenberger, among others. He has received scholarships from The Hindemith Music Center, Martha Argerich Presents Project, Rotary Genève Sud, Hans Wilsdorf Foundation, MAEC-AECID, Carolina Foundation, BSI Talent Programme, Albéniz Foundation, AIE Spain and Mozarteum Argentino.
He was invited to perform at important International Festivals such as the Martha Argerich Festival in Lugano, Serate Musicali in Milan, Rencontres Culturelles de la Vallée de Joux and Semaine Internationale de Piano et Musique de Chambre in Blonay, Switzerland, the World Heritage Cities of Spain Cycle sponsored by UNESCO, Spring Cycle of the BBVA Foundation, the CaixaForum Palma Musical Season, Cycle of the AIEnRUTa-Classics Association in Spain, Semana Musical Llao Llao Bariloche and the Ushuaia International Festival in Argentina.
Tomás' versatility has led him to form numerous Chamber Music groups such as Aurora Piano Quartet, Contrastes Trio, Contrastes Quartet, Albéniz de Prosegur Quintet, Ricercata de EY Sextet, O Globo Sextet, Piazzolla Trio and Mozart de Deloitte Trio. In collaboration with the Canadian violinist Lucia Hall, he premiered the work “Mavrya” for violin and piano by Andrea Liberovici.
Tomás has recently performed with the Craiova Oltenia Philharmonic Orchestra of Romania and he regularly performs at the Colón Theater with the National Symphony Orchestra and the Buenos Aires Philharmonic Orchestra. He has also played in Argentina with the National Congress Chamber Orchestra, the Colón Theater Academic Orchestra, the Public Radio and Television Orchestra and the National Radio Symphony Orchestra. He has been presented, among others, at the Teatro alla Scala in Milan, Italy, Liszt Ferenc Academy of Music in Budapest, Hungary, Fondation Louis Moret, Temple de la Fusterie and Auditorium Radiotelevisione Svizzera, Switzerland. In Spain his most important concerts have been at the Royal Theater, National Auditorium, Juan March Foundation, Sony Auditorium, Monumental Theater and Reina Sofía Museum.
Through the Associazione Amici della Scala he has performed at the Teatro alla Scala in Milan in a tribute paid to the opera set and costume designer Pier Luigi Pizzi. In addition he played a solo recital at the Società del Giardino as part of the most important Festival in Milan, Serate Musicali, sponsored by Martha Argerich.
Tomás, together with the pianist and conductor Sir András Schiff, has made a concert tour in Spain as a soloist with the Freixenet Chamber Orchestra. Since 2020 his concerts are broadcast on Eurochannel's Allegro HD for Latin America.
Tomás made his North American debut in November 2024 in a concert tour that included, among others, the prestigious Salle Bourgie of Montreal.
